Patricia Canright Smith creates visual art in various mediums from her home in Seattle, Washington: painting, sculpture, printmaking, and mixed-media installation. Her artworks have been widely exhibited in the Pacific Northwest in both group and solo shows.
She also writes fiction, memoir and personal essays, which have appeared in anthologies and literary journals. Credits include Short Story America (third prize), Jabberwock Review, North Dakota Quarterly (Pushcart nomination), Shenandoah, Catamaran Literary Reader, and Mason’s Road’s 2014 Literary Prize. The essay “83 Problems A-Z” was a Notable Essay in Best American Essays, 2014.
